We are proud to collaborate with the Mühlerama Museum in Zurich—a unique cultural institution dedicated to the history of grain milling and traditional bread baking. Located in the Tiefenbrunnen neighborhood, right next to Zurich’s oldest mill, the museum offers an immersive experience into the world of bread and its cultural significance.

Mühlerama is not only a museum but also a vibrant educational hub. It regularly welcomes groups from local asylum centers for workshops and events, creating meaningful spaces for cultural exchange and learning. The museum has shown strong interest in developing a more structured and impactful program aimed at supporting refugee integrationin Zurich through baking, language, and community-building activities.

Together, we aim to expand this collaboration by designing inclusive, hands-on workshops that foster skill-building, confidence, and social connections—helping participants feel more at home in their new environment.

Bibi Safran is a social enterprise committed to empowering Afghan women by cultivating and selling high-quality Afghan saffron in the Swiss market. The profits from saffron sales are reinvested directly into the women producers, enabling them to improve production quality, rent essential equipment, and grow their small businesses sustainably.

More than just a product, Bibi Safran represents a movement for economic independence and dignity. By supporting these women, we are collectively standing up for their rights, livelihoods, and future.

At the heart of this initiative is Aresu, the founder of Bibi Safran, who plays a crucial role as a mediator and connectorwithin the refugee community in Switzerland. Her deep ties to both the Afghan diaspora and local institutions make her an invaluable partner in initiatives that promote integration, empowerment, and cross-cultural collaboration.
